• Published the first English-language translation of Rainer Maria Rilke's poetry collection Traumgekrönt (Dream-Crowned)
• Read several scholarly papers at international conferences in England and Italy
• Chaired the Academic Policy Committee when it reviewed the academic calendar and expanded fall break
• Helped shape the English Senior Capstone course that I teach regularly

Students at Taylor make teaching at Taylor a joy! When I meet them where they are, they are willing to be led to broader interests, deeper engagement, and higher understanding; when I discuss the subject matter with passion, they get passionate too.

I enjoy reading, listening to music, hiking, and traveling. A little-known fact about me is that I grew up on a family farm.
